Ingredients
  • 1can (540ml) black beansmashed
  • 1cup almond meal
  • 1cup cooked brown rice
  • 1/3cup finely chopped sundried tomatoes
  • 1 finely diced red onion(cooked)
  • 1tsp dry basil
  • 1tsp garlic salt
  • 1/2tsp cayenne pepper flakes
  • 1tbsp tomato paste
  • 1tbsp maple syrup
  • 2tsp coconut oil
Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, add drained black beans and mash with a fork.
  2. In the same large bowl, add all the remaining ingredients EXCEPT the coconut oil.
  3. Mix well with your hands or with a wooden spoon until all ingredients are blended together, forming a dough.
  4. Divide into 5 patties of same size (about 1/2 cup each).
  5. In a large pan, melt the coconut oil over a medium-high heat. Cook patties for 1 minute each side and remove from heat. This will help patties to hold together.
  6. Place patties on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet and cook in oven at 375°F for 20 minutes.
  7. Serve immediately with your favorite toppings on a bun, with a salad or with fries.
