These chocolate muffins are completely insane! They are filled with chocolate so every bite is a bite in heaven. The good news is we all deserve to treat our self once in a while…
Each one of these is under 200 calories. Yes, we can say it is still a lot of calories but it is less than your average chocolate bar. Plus, these muffins do not contain refined sugar: just a bit of maple syrup, 2 bananas and of course some dark chocolate. Please note that the nutritional values will change depending what type of chocolate you are using.

Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a standard size muffin tin with paper or silicone liners.
Mix the softened butter with the maple syrup using a hand whisk or a mixer. Mix until smooth.
Add the vanilla, eggs and bananas. Mix well.
Add the flour, baking soda and salt. Mix until a smooth dough is formed. Use a wood spoon or a mixer.
Add the almond milk and stir until fully mixed to the dough.
Put 1 tbsp of the mixture into each muffin tin holes. Add 1 wafer (or 10 g) or Belgian dark chocolate on top of the mixture (in each muffin tin holes). Cover the Belgian dark chocolate with an additional tbsp of the mixture.
Put in the oven and bake for 15 minutes.
Serve warm to enjoy the melting chocolate!
